Intensive Courses

Our German intensive courses take place in small groups of at least 2 and at most 6 participants. This allows each participant to actively and intensively participate in the lessons as well as individual learning guidance and success monitoring by our qualified language instructors. Our Intensive courses can be attended while working or studying.

Course Structure - Intensive Courses

• Duration: 4 weeks, 40 lessons of 45 minutes each

• 2 lessons per day, 90 minutes per day in total
• Class days: Monday to Friday in person
• Small group lessons: min. 2 - max. 6 participants
• Start possible after a placement test every Monday
• Times: 9:00–10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 2:00–3:30 p.m.
• The intensive courses can be attended alongside work or studies
• Free learning advice and placement test
• Focus: grammar, speaking, reading and listening comprehension, writing
• Requirements: regular attendance, course books, daily homework
• 80% attendance required for certificate of participation
• An additional week must be booked to prepare for a TELC exam or a Goethe Institute exam
• Price for 4 weeks: €360

We offer intensive courses at the following CEFR levels: A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1. Classes are held either in the morning from 09.00 to 10.30, 11.00 to 12.30 or in the afternoon from 14.00 to 15.30. Each intensive course consists of 16 units of 45 minutes per week. In addition to the intensive course, an optional conversation course can be attended on Fridays.  In order to work through the material for a complete level, we need 10 weeks, i.e. 160 teaching units, provided that the course participants also work intensively with the German language in their free time and complete additional exercises in the form of homework.

Our intensive courses are suitable for anyone between the ages of 17 and 99: Students, part-time professionals, academics, participants in exchange programs, au-pairs, foreign language speaking family members of German citizens and more.

Starting a language course at A-Z Deutsch Sprachkurse is flexible: this means that after a placement test you can start the course any Monday. The courses can also be booked flexibly: by the week, by the month, by the module or even for longer periods.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a free certificate of attendance if your attendance is at least 80%. If you wish to obtain a telc or Goethe certificate, you must take an official exam at an examination center in Freiburg. We do not offer exams at A-Z Deutsch language courses, but we prepare you very professionally and effectively for all common certificate exams: TELC exams, Start Deutsch, DSH, TestDaF, etc. Contact us, we will be happy to advise you.

from 60 € per week, one-off 50 € registration fee

• 2 teaching units of 45 minutes day, 10 teaching units/week
• The courses can be booked flexibly/start possible every Monday.
• The course fees for the half-intensive courses are to be paid in advance.

A complete module of a half-intensive course lasts 10 weeks and contains 100 teaching units of 45 minutes covering a whole language level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1).
